When first driving in the parking lot the area looked sketchy. The motel was old and rundown. The employee told us we couldn't get a room on the 1st floor as requested and the elevator was broken. The other employee was foreign and hard to understand. They told us to go upstairs. We walked up and down 2x looking for the room. This wore us out and made us sweaty and out of breath being handicap. We both use canes and have trouble walking. Even a kid staying there couldn't find it. Finally we figured out it was on the first floor. Our room was so dirty and disgusting. The tub had hair in it like someone shaved before anyone even used it. The microwave was dirty and rusted. The bedspread had a burn hole. The walls were dirty and door had peeling paint. The ceiling had pieces hanging down. This is unacceptable

I have been in the Mid-South since 1998, however I have been to maybe only one Super 8 & that location is in Lakeland TN. I guess because of the Memorial Day Holiday and most Hotels are always full on Friday and Saturday. I've been a Rewards member for quite some time. My first night was free because I had nearly 8000 points. My Son payed for his Mom and myself. For the next two nights. Quite a bit of renovation going on which is Great. Elevator in my opinion is claustrophobic, just a little bit. Overall the area is very quite and definitely off the beaten path. Nothing bad to say from making my reservations to checking in.

Our stay at the roach motel was absolutely awful!! I wish I had the presence of mind to take pictures of the first room that was assigned to us. A guest should never have had to witnessed. First, the chair in the room was absolutely filthy with stains! The room was dark and the sink looked disgusting, there were dust bunnies hanging out of the AC and they were black! YUCK!! There was a cart with paint, caulking, and other tools to renovate the room and it was all nasty. I did not want to sit anywhere because the room was so filthy. We had to call the front desk to have them find us another room. It took her awhile but we did get another room which was a bit of an upgrade from the first room but could have been much cleaner. I was sorry I did not bring Clorox wipes to clean it myself. Outside in the parking lot had trash everywhere. I could not believe that the cleaning crew did not think to pick up trash outside leading to our room. We had to pass it every day. They would come and clean the room but not pick up the trash outside the door of our room. It was disgusting!!! The only positive review I have is the staff was very nice!! I have pictures attached of the parking lot and the run down building that they show at night with all the lights on to make the roach motel look beautiful but it’s a dump just like the other reviews said.

Looking for a one night stop to sleep on our way further south so we picked easy on and off the highway and it was well priced. Walls are thin, you can hear every semi, train, person talking. The room is in terrible shape, outdated, smells bad, no trash can, broken toilet seat, holes in comforters. Outside of the building looked worse than the room. “Free Breakfast” consisted of toast, cereal, apples, or oatmeal. Waffle machine, but no batter. Parking was so tight, I’m not sure how cars were not damaged.
