Was on vacation when my 2 year old Labrador had a seizure, took him to Arcata Animal hospital where the receptionist was rude and stated that they where tripled book and it was $150 for emergency visit and they might be able to look at him in 2 hours . Key word might! WFT Thanks for no help. More than willing to pay costs and in fact went to Sunny Bre veterans and paid $1000 for emergency visit, blood work and X-rays. They are great and worth the money. Don’t waste your time at Arcata Animal hospital .

Saturday chicken emergency and nobody in the county was open or taking chickens. One of my favorite girls was very sick. The staff, even though they didn't have space to see her, was so compassionate and tried to locate a vet that could help. Ultimately, I was able to fit into a cancellation spot, and they were all so kind every step of the way. I intend to take my other pets here, given the experience I had with them.
