Great campground for lake access.

Toxic algae has taken hold of the lake. I wish we would’ve known before hauling kayaks and paddle boards for a 6 hour trip down here. The water level on the west side of the lake (where the campground is located) is REALLY low and there’d be no way to even put a kayak in if you could. There was literally no one on the water all weekend due to the algae. Still had a nice trip even if it was kind of a bummer.

Went mid week and the place was nice and quiet. The spot we were in was tight. Made my wife cringe getting into it. The Camp ground hosts were nice and kept the place clean -- including the vault toilets. Only has potable water out of a hose and not at each site.

Well at the campground it has a board and it's a 15$ camp fee. So be prepared with some cash. You can always try and reserve online. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent! a warm sleeping for the morning, and some easy food. Bring some of your own fire wood with some fire starter, but there's a place down the road that sells wood too. Uh, it's got a great spot by the lake but there's other beaches too. If you need help with anything people are super friendly and nice there. the camp host can also help with anything. Hope this helps!
