The views when leaving the hotel spectacular. Mary attended us when we arrived and she is charming, very funny and super attentive, I lack words to describe how kind she was. A 10 for her. The hotel very well and the rest of the staff too.

Daily housekeeping only includes fresh bathroom towels and trash removal. During our 2-week stay, we asked twice for a full cleaning (which the front desk we were entitled to) but it never happened.

The room smelled like a retirement home. The view from the pics is not a super accurate representation of the rooms. Staff was friendly. The location was great.

Yes. There are two about 4 blocks away: Trader Joe's and Safeway. Easy walking. Here are some tips: create an account online for Safeway to clip coupons and more. Safeway also delivers and you can order online (which we have utilized at other places we have stayed in SF but not The Suites at Fisherman's Wharf because it is so close). California charges for bags at the checkout. Either bring some with you (we do all the time. -- use them as clothing packing cubes) -- or just bring your roller suitcase with you.
