Most of the time on single-family homes the general contractor, or even the homeowner, will act as the construction manager. However, for more complex developments, such as multi-family residences or large residential complexes, a separate and construction manager is a good idea. Experienced construction managers will identify and address issues before they become problems, and they also actively drive the schedule and budget, which can save you both time and money.
We offer construction management services. This is when we manage the day-to-day logistics such as subcontractors' coordination, project scheduling, and permitting. On smaller jobs, we will serve as the construction manager and the general contractor. However, large projects, especially multi-family projects, will often have one firm as the general contractor and another as the construction manager. We also offer expert witness testimony on construction cases.
Yes! Many of our construction projects are the manifestations of notable architects that our clients have worked with. Because we also have architects in-house, it is actually effortless for us to work with outside architects…we speak the same language and appreciate and understand the aesthetic of their designs really well!
Design-build can be a very efficient way to run your construction project. With design-build, the same company prepares the design and manages the construction. We do have in-house architects, and we can offer design-build services.
We have experience with large small, and everything in between. Our multi-family residences typically range between 20 to 100 units, although we have recently worked on several smaller-unit luxury properties.
Think condominium and apartment buildings or buildings and residences that have multiple dwellings. Multi-family homes are a bit more complicated to construct than single-family homes because they generally have more restrictions and require more coordination.
Unless they are part of a larger, more complicated construction project, we generally do not contract for stand-alone kitchen or bathroom renovation projects.
