Very disappointed with the way I was treated on the phone. Accused me of telling them to add pork and beef to burger. …I will address Mr. Evancho’s one star review to the readers. Firearm season for any deer processor is the busiest time of the year. We are a small operation and have limited freezer space, so if someone leaves their deer in our freezer for days we are unable to process the deer in our cooler. At drop off, we ask all of our customers if there will be a problem picking their deer up the day after it is processed, and frozen, and if so we will accommodate the processing day. Mr. Evencho knew freezer space is an issue because he was a repeat customer. Last year he did the same thing. He brought his deer to us and then went up north, leaving us to store his deer for days. So, this year when his deer was ready and I sent him notice on a Sunday. By Tuesday we didn’t hear from him, so I sent a text message for him to contact us regarding his deer. He called and blew off my request for him to pick up his venison. Instead he asked what our hours are for the following Sunday, so that meant we would have to store his frozen venison for 5 additional days. Yes, as Carl’s wife I lost my patients with Mr. Evancho. Having experience with him the prior year, I told him that if he didn’t pick up his deer that evening I would put it outside. As far as the pork and beef, we never add both pork AND beef. Mr. Evancho may not remember being asked if he wanted pork or beef added to his ground, but it was printed on his order. That could have been an oversite on our part and would have been remedied had tempers not flared. These days with social media people feel they can leave a nasty review to get even, but we realize there is always “one” in the crowd, and we cannot please everyone. Notice there are no complaints on the processing. Regardless, all we ask is that our customers have consideration for our business, and our other customers. There are times in business when the customer isn’t always right, and this is a good example.

I've been going to Carl's for the last 8 years and couldn't be happier with the quality of his work. His work is done with attention to detail and I've never had any problems with dropping off or picking up my deer. Packaging is done correctly and haven't had any freezer burn. Would recommend to all.

No I'm sorry. We offer a processing service and do not sell meat. You may turn some of your deer into Salami, Jerky, and Hnter Sticks.
Hello Kurt. We use a professional freezer paper. Carl is a butcher and this heavier weight paper is what we have always used for beef and any other processing as well. There is no worry about freezer burn. Everything is labeled and numbered. The deer processing charge is 89.00. That is for the standard cut be we will cut it anyway you'd like.
