The admitting nurse, the attending physician, and the other health care workers there were great, all except for that 1 woman who tried to put an IV needle in my wife's hand. She stuck my wife 7 times and still had to get someone else to do it. My wife's hand was so bruised the next day and she hurt so bad that I had to take her to Urgent Care to try to get some relief. It has been a week now and she is still hurting from this person's actions. Maybe the phrase "If at first you don't succeed..." shouldn't have been applied in this case. The pictures I sent you are from yesterday. This is a major improvement over what it looked like the day after the visit.

The first night I went was an experience. The nurse on duty was complaining so loud, I could hear her in the waiting area. Upon getting checking in, the nurse walks up stating that she heard me talking about my reason for the visit. She then began to be very rude speaking to me like I was incompetent. The other staff member noticed it, interrupted the conversation, and asked me to follow her to the room. The nurse then came in the room smelling like alcohol, at that point I was ready to leave. She prescribed medicine which did not assist with my reason for my visit. I was then advised yesterday that my results were inclusive and to come back in. Upon arrival I met another nurse who was excellent, he listened to my problems and proceeded to assist me and run test. Before my results came back his shift had ended, and the same nurse I had the previous night walked in. The previous nurse was professional and attentive and saw something else which was causing my reason for visit. She didn't explain the results from the ultrasound but wanted to run more test. I refused her service because I refused to be handled like I don't know my body and talked down upon. I don't trust her judgement. I asked for my discharge papers and stated I would see another nurse. They refused to provide me with my discharge papers and noted I refused to get treatment. Horrible service from the night shift, noone wants to be disrespected when he/she is not feeling well.

The staff were phenomenal. I received exceptional care and I honestly felt so cared for, even with the amount of pain I was in. Nurse Chloe was soooo sweet and so was my other nurse (I forgot her name ðŸ˜). They were both super efficient and they were both super helpful. I will absolutely be returning & making this my go-to hospital. Love, Love LOVE you guys! Thank you!

ER personnel will not give advice or attempt to diagnose over a phone. For some hospitals it is against policy because of legal implications.
Usually not very long. Not unless patients with more severe issues keep rolling in like yesterday!
In emergencies, they will admit anyone. But they specialize in women and children's care.
That practice is not allowed at Tulane Lakeside. It is done by nursing staff.
