6 hours wait time to be seen by ER Attending for a partial airway obstruction and no one cares. 6 hours! Absurd!!!

Shut this hospital down. Making people wait in the ER for 8+ hours should be a crime. And it’s cold here. Lady at the front counter is very rude.

In the past year I have had surgery’s at children’s hospital, buffalo general, and here. I will be reviewing specifically my experience with having surgery here. As usual the staff was great! The person who put my IV in was very considerate of my needle phobia, getting a smaller IV, assuring me that the tube left there is meant to bend, etc. Surgery went well. However, the pre-op waiting room is one large room filled with many beds, which means it’s also filled with many patients. The beds are only separated by curtains and the nurses station is in the middle of the room. This makes it so hard to hear what is beating said to you many times. If you have anxiety or are easily overstimulated like I am, this is not a good place for you. It gets so loud sometimes because of all the patients and nurses in one room, separated by no sound barriers my head was spinning, especially after getting out of surgery. There are 2 maybe 3 bathrooms and they are all shared with the people in the pre-op room ( which is also the out patient post-op room). However the bathrooms are handicap accessible for the most part. There is a big bump going in and out of them that hurts if your in pain and is not very easy to go over, as well as at least one of them is quite small making it hard to move around in a wheelchair in it. Other than that my experience here was good.

Great Lakes Health System is the entity comprised of Kaleida Health, the University at Buffalo, ECMC and The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.
No, CPEP is not as bad as the reviews. I hope you’re doing well on your new medication, but if you would like some options for safe places, ECMC has another one besides CPEP. Check out the Help Center, it’s a walk in center where you can talk to a counselor without an appointment. If they feel you need more help, the counselor will walk you over to CPEP. You can also call 211 in Buffalo for access to all sorts of community services. Good luck!
It depends on your Health insurance plan. Your insurance plan sets the requirements on whether or not you need referral to be seen by a specialist.
You have to go to records downstairs and tell them what you want or you're going to find that everybody else in that place is an idiot
Yes.
Yes
Sorry that happened to you
I would start with that department.
Not usually but if you are seeing a Dr there they will validate parking. Parking for ER is free

Its the floor and area. 12th is ICU mostly
Main entrance take elevator or escalator to the 1st floor. Ortho is near the escalators. Don't confuse the 1st floor with the Ground Floor.
I think it starts at 9am and they have to leave by 9pm
