My relative was sent for rehab. Once completed, was sent to Skilled nursing facility , after being diagnosed with Dementia by the Social Worker. An independent evaluation by a doctor concluded , my relative did Not have Dementia, the facility still refused to discharge ! Care is horrible, family excluded from medical decisions. The facility is concerned only on how and when they will be paid

I didn't even want to give one star but had to to open review. Terrible abusive incompetent care. My husband who was very weak and there for rehab was man handled into the shower when he had a permanent chest tube with a dressing that could not get wet. It was soaking they would not listen to him. Never replaced it till I told them to. When I complained I was told that that employee does what she wants "you can't get a leopard to change their spots". My brave strong husband felt scared and helpless. He needed oxygen they didn't give it to him for hours. I took him home as soon as I realized how degrading and awful the care was. When he asked for his clothes because his wife was coming to get him he was told "Oh you're not going anywhere". He called me panicked.When I saw the replacement dressing amazed at the amateur way it was done. 13 hrs I will always regret.

Stay was ok, forgot to feed me a few nights but the beds were comfy. unless i peed myself then it was mush. All round mid experience.

The staff at Elderwood have been so helpful and kind. They really took an interest in my mom's health and well being, I wish them all the best...
