I don't do reviews often and I've had 3 months to reflect. Yeah, some parts are hard and sucked because I was ill, mental health is hard, and the staff is pretty overworked. Despite all that, when I struggled I was able to talk to someone. We were able to figure out some medication to help. Also. Thry would try to do activities and crafts when they could to help keep folks occupied. I felt my gender identity was respected. On Fridays we had pet therapy. Yeah, some parts sucked. Just as getting treated for any other medical situation, but that team saved my life.

I have a mother that currently works there. She's been stressed out by how understaffed they are. Several people have quit their jobs. And there's too many admissions. This is a regulatory issue at this point and people need to take this to the NYS Department of Health and the Office of Mental Health. This has to be reported. Anyone that's been there. Or works there. Take it to the state.
lmao t
hi i went there during spring 2021 i was 12 and stayed there for almost 2 weeks it’s honestly a uncomfortable experience the food is usually a hit or miss. There was a lot of drama between the other kids, there was a few fights that broke out which is normal for a mental hospital. From my experience the youth part is all about putting you on medication and seeing if that works if it doesn’t then you get put on different ones, you also see a therapist for like 5-10 minutes it’s not helpful. There was a kid hurt her finger and the staff completely ignored her. The night staff is extremely rude.

CHOOSE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH TO CLOSE THEIR OUTPATIENT SERVICES. Brylin is making a terrible decision to shut off tons of people from recieving care and counseling. Reprehensible. It is obvious they do not care about their patients. DO NOT GO HERE.

You should probably call a hospital and seek medical intervention
The hospital stay is covered by most insurances. For any questions regarding hospitalization, please call the admissions department at 716-886-8200 ext. 2264. I hope this helps.
The average length of stay is 3-5 days, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter. It depends entirely on the individual, how he/she is progressing in treatment, and their treating provider. Every individual's experience is unique and each individual responds differently to treatment. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, please call the admissions department at 716-886-8200 × 2264 to speak with a psychiatric registered nurse who can better assist you.
Yes. Please visit our website for a complete listing of open positions at www.brylin.com.
Please see the FAQ page of the website (brylin.com) for what you can and can not bring. I hope this helps.
Yes we are accepting new patients. Because BryLin Hospital, in Buffalo is still in an Orange Zone our current restrictions include: • Limited access to our sites. Limit vendors and others from entering the building if possible. • Continue to Pre-Screen (prior to admission) and Screen (at front door) everyone coming into the organization. • Face to Face Visitation is suspended until further notice, we will use Virtual Visits to keep care recipients connected with family and loved ones. • Masks must be worn by staff at all times except when eating or drinking. • Service Recipients will be encouraged to wear masks during hospitalization. • Continue Social Distancing measures as recommended by local, state, and federal guidelines. • Continue Washing hands frequently and/or sanitize with hand gel. • Continued Cleaning of high touch surfaces. With our continued diligence in all of these, we hope to continue keeping Covid-19 out of the Hospital. I hope this helps.
BryLin does not provide medical inpatient detox using methadone. You may want to try ECMC or Horizon Health Services.

The recidivism rate is low. We stabilize the presenting crisis and link with either existing supports for outpatient care or we can provide linkage if needed.
