A beautiful campsite! Part of the road getting there is very rough! A very rocky bridge and sand that you could get stuck in beware! The site is super worth it.

Went there for the 7 mile trail around the lake. Very gorgeous up close view of Mt. Hood and a neighboring mountain. Not steep really, easily did it in 3 hrs. Coming into the lake the road is kind of thin and dusty for 2 miles. Makes u think your driving to a quarry construction site but manageable.

Very peaceful, if you want to take a minute away from the city this is a great place. It has a camp site.

How far in do you have to hike to get to the campsites?

We've been going there for years. I would say that most of the camp sites you can drive right up to. There are only a few you have where you have to park in the parking area and pack into- then only 100 yards or less. The lake is a reservoir to supply the orchards in Parkdale so it is quite low at this time. Although I don't fish, the lake is well stocked for those who do. No gas powered motor boats.

Are all of the sites walk in, or can you drive a trailer in to any of them?

Kelly Bennett | Feb 5, 2019
Mike Gende | Feb 6, 2019

There are a handful you could back a trailer into. However, none of those are too big and they are more limited. There are a couple spots that would allow a larger trailer too.

Where are the boat ramps you can launch from?

Paul Chirdon | Feb 5, 2018
Alyssa Schorer | Feb 6, 2018

There is a boat ramp on the south side of the lake at the far west edge of the campground. You would need to pay the day use fee I assume.
