What a dump! Sway back, horrible mattresses that look like they haven't been replaced since the place first opened! Also the furniture looks like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Nothing has been remodeled or renewed in this God awful resort (ha!) ever!! The old fashioned venetian blinds were ALL broken. One window out of 3 opened to get some air into this stinking, hot room. What a joke! Kirkwood should be ashamed!!

This place is a scam. We booked 2 night at this hotel, paid over $700 total, but the experience was a complete nightmare. When we got there, first of all, there was no one at the front desk, apparently they close at 1 pm. Can you imagine that? I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't funny. Even Motel 6 offers 24hours front desk services. We had to do a self check in, when we found out that our room located 5 min drive from this hotel. And the room at that place looked nothing like all the pictures they post here. It was a dark, small room far away from the slopes. We wanted to ask how it's even possible to pay/book the room at the hotel located right at the slopes, and get a totally different room at the totally different place (it wasn't even a hotel) far away from the slopes. But because they don't have a front dest at the "hotel" they put us in, also no one was at the front desk at the hotel we supposed to stay in we have on one to ask. We called booking, but they wasn't so helpful. We said we want to cancel our reservation, and get a full refund because it's a scam to offer one hotel, and then just put people at a completely different place. This happed in February, now it's May, and they still haven't refunded us.

The place is cozy and has a nice selection of channels on TV like impractical jokers. The only problems is there's no one at the front desk after 8 pm and the worst part is there's NO SECURITY so what are you going to do if there's an emergency. Other than that it was fine though.

The rooms were amazing but unfortunately there was a loud party of people that snuck into the hot tub at 2 am (it closes at 11pm) and were INCREDIBLY loud and rude with glass bottles of wine and champagne (also no glass allowed in the tub because if anything breaks the tub has to be completely drained and serviced). The number for security was no where to be found and nobody was answering the front desk. We had to go down to the pool area and take care of the situation ourselves. The group was incredibly rude and security FINALLY ended up showing up to kick them out and they proceeded to scream at the poor security guard and berate him. In the morning there was a 40 foot line at the front desk of a lot of people asking for refunds. The front desk person asked why we didn't call to which we informed them we did but no one was answering. We were given a 20% discount on our room which frankly should have been more. I think this might be a nice place to stay if they got themselves together and actually help their guests when it's needed.
