Husband, William had excellent care from Dr. Varma and his staff. So kind and informative.

After a nightmare of a situation at another dermatologist, I had a large incision from a mole removal that was severely infected. UNC Dermatology (Chapel Hill location) was able to get me in same day as an emergency appointment. Dr. Claire Petitt & Dr. Aida Lugo-Somolinos we’re AMAZING! The level of patient care from both has been top notch (Dr. Claire Petitt even did a follow up call with me yesterday) and has meant more than they could ever know. The amount of pain I was in when I saw them vs now, I can’t thank them enough. My previous dermatologist (not at UNC Dermatology) who performed this mole removal surgical procedure wouldn’t return my calls and when I went into their office for a check up prior to going to UNC dermatology, the doctor wouldn’t even come into the room (the nurse there also told me it wasn’t infected). I highly recommend UNC Dermatology, Dr. Claire Petitt, & Dr. Aida Lugo-Somolinos!!!

If you have not gone to them in over a couple of years you are then considered a new patient and they will not accept visits from you. Do not go to this place.

Do you have to get undressed here?

We have patients change into a gown and keep their underwear on for full body exams. If the area of concern can be examined without the patient needing to remove articles of clothing, we do not ask them to change.

When I needed to take my son I was able to get a same day appointment. I would call them first thing in the morning to see if they have an opening.

Do you do fat reduction in chin using Kybella ?

I don't know, I would call and ask, or email and ask them through the UNC website. I see them for my skin conditions, and laser treatments for my HS. They except my medicare advantage plan for my treatments and visits.
