Def not the best shelter in my honest opinion. Yet, they try. Sadly only official overnight shelter in the area. Missing a few essential necessities like a first aid kit an staff that won't put you down. Would be nice if they would also drug test individuals on top of just a breathalyzer. Otherwise, it's unfair to alcoholics, in my personal opinion, that addicts don't have to fear a screening like the rest. Was an adequate place to help me get back on my feet regardless of my personal opinions. Like I said before.. they try an that's all ya can ask for. It's really up to you in the end though to recover. Can't rely on others forever. Best wishes to everyone struggling. There is always room to complain. Psalms 12:28 laziness results in forced labor. So grow not weary.

Daemeaon Allen, I am so glad that your experience with The Home Of Refuge Outreach Homeless Shelter helped you to be self-sufficient. We understand your concern with the drug screen and breathalyzer screening. In the future, as the organization grows we will continue to looks for ways to extensively screen for all substances. You also mentioned our staff, Home of Refuge Outreach Inc operates by volunteers that donate their time to help those in need. We are in need of Volunteer Overnight Host and Day Time Host and also, the support from the communities of Rockingham County to help with financial support and donation to help sustain Home of Refuge Outreach Inc.
