Was really relying on them to help. Met on Thursday and really never heard anything back. Got called on Friday to schedule meeting for Monday morning between 8 and noon. Got called this morning that we were bumped because of other emergencies...was going to push us to Wednesday or maybe Tuesday. I guess my job was too small for them.. Very disappointing.

WOW! We were trying to sell our house and in the process of moving found our worst nightmare hiding in the depths of a basement level closet - MOLD! We were scared our buyers would be freaked and immediately jumped into action getting quotes on clean up, remediation and repairs. Every where we called did PART of the work, but not all. Between homeschooling, working, and planning a move, we did not want to (nor did we have the time to) manage several contractors for the various parts of the job. Remedics handled it ALL and NOT only that, they did it BEAUTIFULLY. The end result was LITERALLY better than NEW! It was seamless, the team worked on schedule, cleaned up every last bit of debris and everyone was so kind! The experience was so great, we won’t call anyone else for repairs - ever! -E.A.B.

I wanted to follow-up and thank you and your Team for turning this painful experience for us into a positive one. My wife Shannon said both Jamie and J were fantastic and she really appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. Well done!

While you wait for us to arrive there are a number of things you can do. Here is a simple list; - locate the source of water and shut it off - move furniture and personal contents away from affected water damage area - remove any standing water if possible, with a shop vac or squeegee - get the air moving, open windows, use box fans and/or residential dehumidifiers until professional equipment arrives.

How Long Does The Water Cleanup Process Take?

Most water damage removal & drying jobs are complete in 3-5 days. However, this depends on the severity and category of water damage. The more saturated an area and more widespread the water is, the longer the drying process takes. This does NOT include the putback and repairs after the emergency phase is complete.

My House Is Flooded, Should I Call My Insurance Agent/Company First?

Remedics Restoration Carolinas | Sep 24, 2019

No, not necessarily. You want to get a professional restoration contractor on site as fast as possible to review the water damage and begin the cleanup process. Your insurance company wants you to be proactive when it comes to dealing with damage to your home, not waiting and causing more damage. Filing an unnecessary claim may make your insurance premium go up. Call First Restoration and we can help with you how much damage there is and give you more information before calling your insurance company.

Can Water Damage Cause Mold To Grow?

Short answer, absolutely. Water is one of the necessary ingredients needed for mold to grow. If you have water damage in your home and you don't react fast enough to extract the water and properly dry the affected area, you could have mold growth within 48 hrs.
