Booked a appointment on there website . Got a confirmation number . They have been emailing me for days let me know about my car rental . I get up here stand in a long line for them to tell me “ ohhhh we don’t have any cars left “ and that the online reservation keeps accepting people knowing they don’t have any cars . Why not call people to let them know or cancel them in advance ?

The car I requested wasn’t available so I was forced to get a car that required E15 fuel. I only knew of this because I needed gas prior to returning back from my trip. No one at the reservation desk told me and to be honest I wouldn’t put anyone in a car that takes special gas unless it’s known or requested. There was no car manuals or anything in the car for the vehicle. I only found out about the fuel when I opened the cap and seen it displayed. Prior to seeing it I called the number to budget and was transferred to the reservation line who couldn’t assist! Upon me coming back from my trip I had to drive around for 3 hours trying to find the fuel that no one carried! I was offered another vehicle but required more money per day. Typically when you reserve a car and it isn’t available they’ll give you a free upgrade.

The location I went to changed their hours without notifying me. This caused a significant delay when picking up the vehicle. The manager did not apologize or acknowledge it to the lobby full of people that had shown up at the time posted on the door. The vehicle I picked up was not clean, had a taillight out, and a significant alignment problem. It was just an overall bad experience. Driving a passenger van with an alignment issue and no turn signal in Chicago traffic was not fun!

This rental car location has the worst rules ever. I can not leave my own personal car for 24 hrs while I use their vehicle. Want everybody to know this mistake I made using this location. Since now my trip is on pause until I can find another driver. Kevin, Avis, and Budget. I guess it's ok for kids to be hanging out too.
