Beautiful spot and worth the trip to get there.

Next to Hwy 36 is a secluded group camp spot in old growth with a meadow and a river beach. Trees have see many humans come and go, but their spirit continues. Well managed and kept clean by friendly park staff and Ranger. Pit toilets cleaned daily, gas stove in large kitchen under cover, water from well and tower on site. Volleyball, two horseshoes games, and other games provided. String led lights there and lit with generator or battery you provide.

Yes, there are posts around the park with dog poop bags. However, this area struggles with the blue green algae that is toxic to dogs this time of year. It wasn't bad when we were there at the beginning of August.
No... You can only rent the whole campground, not single sites. When they open up reservations for renting the campground, the time slots all fill up quickly.
If the office is closed, there is a camp host in one of the sites to answer questions.
First come first serve. No reservations.
No, there isn't. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Lots of space in each site.
Usually on weekdays, unless it is reserved.
One way only. No big turn around in grove. Only the first place by the big sign would work, but you would need to make a 90 turn while backing in there. Advise prior arrival with smaller rig. Better for that at Swimmers Delight, which has loops.
No trailer hook up. Beautiful grove under redwoods on bend in river, but no hook up
