The cotton exchange was really nice. The Toy Store was so nostalgic with the candy cigarettes, taffy, & strawberry candy. They have magnets, chocolate turtles & fudge & there's some free tasting of select goodies as well. The prices are very reasonable. Take a break from the heat & reminisce in the air conditioning while visiting

Such a cute place, I always walk around when I come to visit. Great shops and places to eat. Highly recommend it if you are in the area.

The Cotton Exchange was very fun to walk around. First, it felt a maze walking through the shops. If you are planning to bring your stroller, please don't, because they don't have an elevator and it would be very difficult to go around. Everyone in the stores were kind and friendly. It's a nice place to walk around when it's raining.

Nifty shopping area in a converted factory that is quaint and offers climate controlled areas in most locations. Beautiful used brick facades are reminiscent of an era gone by.

Cliff Merems | Feb 5, 2019

It dates back to the 1800s, when it was the largest exporter of cotton in the country. The building still stands, but now it houses restaurants and shops.
