The Sears "Technition" came to repair my fridge. The issue was that the freezer portion was not getting cold enough. He fiddled a bit looking at 'self test' results (a user function), did no real troubleshooting, then said the issue may be a 'diverter' that is no longer available. Charged me a large Trouble Call charge and left. Turns out there is no Diverter on my fridge. He did not perform normal checks such as checking if there was ice blockage, fan issues, temperature sensors, or any such tests. My husband finally troubleshot the refrigerator after the Sears Service Technition left and found the issue is a temperature sensor in the freezer. Only took my husband 45 minutes to find the issue and a couple of days to get parts. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME USING SEARS REPAIR SERVICE. If this repairman is indicative of their expertise, they are a total waste of money.

I was skeptical at first because I made this reservation over the phone, and the person told me was in India! However, he then stressed that Sears would be doing the service. I was still skeptical but all went well. I needed a pump replaced in washer, which required 2 visits: diagnostic then installation. The updates were terrific! And ability to modify appointments excellent. Washer now fixed

My refrig is over 30 years old. So far Sears has managed to fix any problem I have had. A few years ago the motor/fan went out. They replaced with a new one. Today the service man unclogged the freezer drain where ice had formed. They are very good and know their stuff. I will continue to use them.
