I’d love to talk to you more about that! If you’re interested in learning more about loan programs, please reach out to me and I’ll be happy to give you a bit more information about first-time home buyer grants (amongst other potential programs available to you) or connect you with someone who can further answer your questions.
The listing agent works with sellers and tries to get them the highest/best price for the sale of their home. Buyer’s agents work with buyers to help them find their desired home based on their search criteria and negotiate the lowest/best price for that home.
Sometimes referred to as the seller’s agent, they advertise and promote your home, help you choose a competitive asking/listing price, coordinate opportunities for agents and buyers to view your home, and prepare all necessary paperwork until the sale is closed. The listing agent will try to get you the best/highest price for your home!
A buyer’s agent will search all the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) daily for the right home based on your desired criteria, coordinate opportunities for you to view homes you select from inside and out, negotiate on your behalf to bring about the best possible purchase contract, assist you in obtaining financing, prepare all necessary paperwork in a timely manner all the way through to a successful closing, and overall provide peace of mind when searching for a home. The buyer's agent will try and get you the best/lowest price for your dream home!
No, buyers generally do not pay commission — it comes from the seller’s side when negotiating a contract. Agent’s work strictly on commission and thus only get paid after a sale is made and escrow is closed.
