Very beautiful building and location. Front windows allow for a nice lake view. My wife and I went for lunch and were surprised at how decent prices were. Food we ordered was very good. We will stop by again for sure!!

Between 3 & 5pm they have a VERY limited menu which we sadly were unaware of, not much of anything to choose from. We decided to stay but only ordered a drink & a shrimp cocktail each. Wine was a bit old tasting, shrimp was delicious as ever. Had to ask for the usual bread plate. Surprisingly 2 drinks, 2 cocktails & tip came to a whopping $60. They have allowed themselves to become too 'corporate'...we used to be regulars & just loved it there. Found out they no longer do Friday raw bar nor the burger & brew night.

We went for an engagement celebration for my son and his fiancee.We had a party of 11. Everything arrived hot and delicious. Waitress was happy to take a photo for us even as the dining room filled with guests. My son said it was the best steak he had ever had. My daughter felt there should have been more scallops for her meal . What she did get were good.

Quaint old inn at a wonderful location on the lake. Not optimal for business travel I would say though. Parking can be a real problem and if you've forgotten or need something you'll need to drive. Staff is terrific. As a business traveler, I just need more functional hotels (easy parking, walkable access to a CVS or something if I forgot an item or two, a coffee maker in the room (very important), a pantry where I can grab a soda or snack, etc

No thats in Auburn. The Sherwood Inn is in Skaneateles. About 15 minutes away.
