Dr Furst has helped me more than any other physician in 40 years. While treating my lower back pain, I mentioned Thoracic pain. Past doctors only prescribed pain meds. He took an interest and diagnosed bulging discs there as well. He listens and works with you to address issues and find positive results. YES I would recommend him.

I have had pain in my hip for almost a year. I saw an orthopedic surgeon, who took x-rays and told me nothing was wrong. My primary care doctor referred me to Dr Furst. He is a knowledgeable, compassionate, and persistent doctor. Instead of just saying that because the x-rays had been normal, it must just be chronic pain, he explored everything that could be causing it. And he found the problem! So now I'll be seeing an orthopedic surgeon with proof in hand that there's a real problem, with a recommendation for arthroscopic surgery. I can't say enough positive things about Dr Furst, and would recommend anyone with pain to him

Dr. Shawn Furst is a fantastic physician. I had severe neck pain due to pinched nerves and severe arthritis. Dr. Furst performed procedures that have virtually removed almost all of my pain. He is a very good listener, compassionate, empathetic, and guided me through each of the 3 procedures I had. He explained in detail what he was doing and what I would feel. When I had the RFAs, I was provided with enough pain medication to endure the procedure. I did not experience any adverse effects and I felt exactly as he had explained that I would. When I need to see Dr. Furst, I am given an appointment within a couple of days. Dr. Furst's office personnel return calls promptly and are also very kind and efficient. I would recommend Dr. Furst for pain management to everyone. I have gone to other pain management clinics in Chico and was very dissatisfied until I met Dr. Furst. My husband also goes to Dr. Furst and recommended that I go. I am very thankful for Dr. Shawn Furst.
