Worst place to work!!!

Signed mom up with Kindred. The admissions person was wonderful and so helpful. Then they sent the nurse out. She was new and had no idea what was going on. Terrible communication. Then one day mom was in pain. Called the nurse twice, the office three times, nothing. Finally asked for someone that would talk to me. The administrator of nursing put me on speaker phone with the nurse in the room without telling me. So unprofessional. Finally 7 hours later, the nurse came out. She never relayed my messages correctly and twisted my words, so nobody else ever came out. Finally got through and the aid came to bathe mom. Had her freezing and shivering in bed uncovered. So glad for my nanny cam! The aid wouldn't wash her hair or help with her nails and I asked repeatedly. When I complained they acted like I was not truthful and shouldn't say a word. My sister called, same treatment. Ron the division manager was great, but couldn't get messages to him past the people in the office. Not sure he ever got my messages. Finally transferred to MSA. Night and day difference! The nurse comes minimum twice a week, Kindred wouldn't come more than once. MSA has a tuck-in service 5 nights a week! I could go on and on. A few wonderful people at Kindred, but the ones that came to my house were terrible to my mother and family. So sad! When you have no idea what is going on with your loved one and you need some help, don't go to Kindred.

Compassionate, available, proactive, dependable!!!!! They provided comfort for the patient and the family as well. Gentiva always kept you in the loop, they provided ongoing education of the situation, what to expect, what to do and they were there to support you all the way and even afterwards when their services were no longer needed. I cannot praise Gentiva enough, they are wonderful
