This is my local congregation. We're friendly. Come say hi.
Sons of Thunder
Great experience! Awesome time with hundreds of youth from Columbia to Myrtle Beach for a late Valentine's dance! Wholesome environment, great people! We had a great time and can't wait to go again in the future.

Anyone can come to services here. Sunday mornings at 9 am!
Yes, there are multiple ways to get involved with the community service side of the congregations/wards that meet here, whether giving or receiving. The members often support each other and others in the community through direct service and ministering that is 1-on-1. The church often dedicates several days a year to larger proactive community projects (like improving parks etc). One example was the help given and recieved during the floods in 2015 that many experienced (video: https://youtu.be/PQDNsGXYHgI ) As of now (Dec 2019) both Carl Reynolds and Matthew Cox that are seen in this video are still involved with the church and community service. Justserve.org is an online community to post service requests and give community service, it also has an app, and I suggest checking it out. Justserve is run by the world-wide Church connected with this location, and is meant to be used at the local community. There is also Latterdaysaintcharities.org at a wider level. I hope this helps
The Church does not have a public food pantry as often run by many organizations in the community. The teachings include the Biblical admonition for each of us to be prepared for our own potential emergencies as we learn and practice provident living skills. If there are instances in which help is needed, we hope family and friends are available to support and assist. If there is a situation of emergency need, and the one in need is a member in good standing, and has no family suppirt, we hope they already know they are encouraged to make their needs known to their ministering Sisters and Brethren. The Bishop will meet with that person and be the judge in Israel as to the counsel and assistance available from the Church. This being said, if a non member, or heretofore, inactive member has a need, they are welcome to contact the Bishop over the geographic area in which they live for counsel and assistance.
