The Section 8 Wait list was last opened from 7/22 to 8/2. It will likely not be opened until late summer or fall of 2020. The results (Ranking) from the last opening should be posted on the website in the next week or so.
Number 19 is a blessing. Patience.
I Suggest U Call Or Go Into The Office. On Forrest Ave.
If this is the S8 Waitlist, it could be a month or two, you would likely be contacted by a Intake specialist soon. Make sure your contact info is correct. If this is one of the Public Housing Chico wait list, it's hard to say as those depend on vacancy availability.
This guy needs some help!!!
The Section 8 program & Public Housing properties are managed from the Chico office. We have two offices, the main office in Chico at 2039 Forest Ave. & Gridley office that serves the Farm Labor Housing at 850 E. Gridley Rd.
I dont see why not but I would call for sure and ask... the worst they could say is not
How will I know if my application for public housing is approved
Yes, please go to 2039 forrest Ave. Chico, Ca. For more information.
9-5 week days
No you have to catch the lottery winning come online I mean the Section 8 Lottery I don't know when it's going to open back up but they normally announce it to the Butte County housing in Chico but they also have public housing and some of their eyes are open
Best bet is to give the housing authority a call and see if they can help. I know they have the list you can download but I'm not sure how up to date it is.
It depends on several factors including number of family members, family income and current payment standards. Contact your case worker for more specific information.
I believe that the Housing Authority draws lots for new vouchers once a year. Ours was drawn in July of 2018.
If you are approved there are a number of hoops u must jump thru. Good luck
I believe so. Check Butte Co on line web page.
Basically, yes. Section 8 itself is not specifically for disabled people, but you can get on the wait list for a voucher if you are disabled & qualify. There are also different places throughout Butte County who have their own low income housing programs for their places. The Housing Authorities have a few programs that I know of that help with housing. As far as I know they don't have anything opened immediately but it's best to get on as many waiting lists S you can as soon as possible. They can also help you with information about other low income housing. Such as in Chico, Cinnamon Village Apt & the apts on the corner W. 4th street & N. Cedar are both low income. You can also look places up online, or dial I think it's 211, or it might be *211. I am sorry I don't have more information than that. I'm drawing a blank right now on the names of other programs thru The Housing Authority as well as other low income or sliding scale housing..
Due to privacy concerns, the HACB cannot discuss this publicly. Please contact the HACB directly at 530-895-4474 during normal business hours and someone can discuss your status with you directly.
Contact HCD of the State of California, the HACB does not handle mobilehomes.
You should call them and ask about your status.
Most likely you will be ok. However it is case by case. It is not a violent crime.
Anyday now. I waited 2 yrs but once I got to 142 it was really quick. Ur super close. The only problem is there's nothing out there since the fire. I must have called 3 hundred places in oroville and chico plus all the property managers. I was really starting to panic cause I had to move out of my previous place by sept 7th. I got a call on the 4th. I can't tell u how relieved I was. I wish you good luck. If u have any other questions let me know. Oh, one more thing, when you get ur voucher u have 2 mos to find a place. If u don't u have to let them know and they'll give u 1 more month but that's it. If u still don't find anything u lose ur voucher and have to start all over again.
Birth certificate, social security cards, proof of income, Identification for everyone over 18, a pg&e bill, I also ihad to bring in proof like custody papers or proof of what school your kids are in & who they live with & if you do forget anything they will give you time to get what they want or need. Hopefully this helps
Please call 530-895-4474 during business hours to speak with a S8 case worker. Specific cases cannot be discussed in an open forum such as this.
Not for Section 8, but Public Housing may have an open Wait list. Check the website, www.butte-housing.com. when the Section 8 wait list is scheduled to open, it will be posted there.
You will need to contact the Housing Authority by phone using 530-895-4474 or visit the office during business hours to discuss this.
Section 8 will be opening on 4/1/2019 until 4/30/2019 for CAMP FIRE SURVIVORS ONLY. Proof will be required. A public opening has been discussed, but has not yet been scheduled. Visit www.Butte-Housing.com for details.
It has yet to be determined. They usually open in late Fall, but it depends on funding and how many are already on the list. They will post on their website, www.butte-housing.com, and newspapers when it has been scheduled.
Please set up appt with your caseworker to discuss options for your household.
Call on Monday your specific caseworker, and rhey can stream line the process and get your another onw once information is verified
Contact the Butte county housing authority and ask. Or post on FB groups lots of people are using Facebook as a resource.

Bus #14
Ask the section eight people's how to transfer all your section 8 to Chico California I think it's called portability
I'm not sure but i think so just call thrm and ask about it
There are no "affiliated companies" that will call you...those are usually some wbesite that you unwittingly gave your phone number to. Never do that.
Check the website...if it is open it will show up there. Usually opens in october for 2 to 3 weeks
