It was a perfect cozy quiet dinner. Food was excellent, and service was good. This place has so much charm. I confess I had a little sticker shock when I received the bill, but after I thought about all that was included, I felt good about it. We'll be back again. 2/14/22 update Yes, it's very romantic. That's why we're back again, kicking our feet back in front of one of the fireplaces. Just finished a midday hike along the shore of beautiful nearby Lake Santeetlah. We enjoyed the backpacked lunch the inn provided us for lunch.

My wife and I recently passed three days at SML, and we enjoyed every minute of the experience. We definitely hope to return. We attempted to follow the local mantra of "Disconnect to Reconnect." Great staff, excellent dining, and a breath-taking location. This is a retreat from the madness and an opportunity to simply chill.

Where to begin? Beauty surrounds you everywhere you look, not only the natural beauty of the mountains and the flora but in all the beautiful touches in every space of the buildings and surrounds. My camera has definitely been on overdrive. I’m a bed person…I take my pillow with me everywhere I go, even if by plane. I am usually sadly disappointed in the beds of most accommodations but not at Snowbird. A perfect mattress; a wonderful sleep. On to the people…the staff make you feel like a treasured guest and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience ever. The food…besides the view the food is truly the piece de resistance! The house made bread and biscuit leave you wanting more. The soups are outstanding and everything served hot!! My husband and I just put each morsel in our mouths and groan at the deliciousness of it all. I guess the best review I can give is to say that we’ve already booked our next stay. I’ll think of everything I neglected to say and save it for my next review.

The price noted is well worth it. A group of car friends have been staying there in the Fall. Great staff, service and food. Our group will be there again this Fall.

The closest ski area to Snowbird Mountain Lodge is Cataloochee. Snowbird is a seasonal resort. We are closed during the months of December and January.
