I give Harborfront Motel 4 stars only because I don't want others to think it's a 5 star experience. If you're familiar with the "up north" motel experience, than this is what you'll have here. The owner is a very gracious lady, the rooms are older but pleasant and comfortable, and you're walking distance to the village and beaches/harbor. Be prepared as it's cash only. I've stayed several times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend.

Nice place with great views of Black River good for short or long stays and is very homie and the woman who runs it(Jamie) is very sweet. Also great rates if your looking for somewhere that is nice for a low price.

Lexington is a beautiful place to go and visit. The beaches are amazing, the view is great, cute little shops in town, and a fun little spot to bring the kids. I stayed for two nights at the Harbourfront Motel with my boyfriend. The owner was nice on the phone and pleasant in person when we got there. We were in michigan visiting my sister's family, we told the owner that they would come for a day to enjoy the beach with us. She showed us the property and all the beautiful areas we could enjoy ourselves in. She was fine with this, until the second day when they came. Her pleasant demeanor quickly diminished and changed to judgemental and discriminatory behavior when she noticed how many tattoos we all had after seeing us less covered up. And begin asking questions and making offensive comments to us. She then informed us that we could not enjoy the places on the property as she pointed out the day before and that we would have to enjoy the day off of the property. We were confused but informed her that we wanted to show the kids the town anyway, but we would stop back for lunch before going out again. She said that was ok as long as we weren't "congregating" outside the cabin because there were other people staying in the neighbouring cabins. We again were hesitant but agreed. After seeing the town, we came back for lunch as we discussed. Us, women stayed inside with the kids as the TWO men grilled burgers. She confronted our partners saying that they could not grill outside, yet upon looking to the next cabin, our neighbors had a grill as well. As we were finishing lunch, we heard a knock on the door. I opened it and it was the owner explaining to me that my sister's family would have to leave and that it was policy. There was not once any mention of any policies prior. And mind you, we were following everything she had asked us to do prior. We were not loud, routy, or bothering any one of our neighbouring cabins. In fact, earlier our neighbor offered the table she was reading at for us to sit and eat lunch. After the door knock conversation, we explained to her we were just finishing lunch and we were heading into town again and that my sister's family was leaving from there without stopping back at the cabin. She then just repeated herself in a condescending fashion and I said ok, no problem. As my boyfriend and i were leaving, she again started commenting on my tattoos and i then explained my chest tattoo was for my great grandfather who was a free mason and who held the highest honor in the shrines. She then was surprised at this and tried to "buddy up" with me. We were all taken aback by the treatment we were given. Never again will I ever stay at the Harbourfront Motel and I do not recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family, has tattoos, or a part of a 20- 30 year old generation.

This place is PERFECT for what a couple or small family. Nothing is more than two or three blocks, the inn keeper is great. Much is rustic or out dated but it is clean! Those who complain probably complain about everything. Jamie keeps great gardens, there are great views, 5 minute stroll to restaurants, marina, theater, bars, shops, public beach, concert, or down the steps to the private beach. We have been staying here for years and are always happy. a couple bugs or spiders are what you should expect at a lakeside resort.

Hello, I don't work there but here is the number to call 810 359 8906...if you type in Harbourfront on Google maps, after it is done loading, there is a button at the bottom to book a room.
