We were originally booked into a different campground down the road and had such a hideous experience there we needed to move quickly. I called Michelle in a total panic and she was so wonderful and calming, found us a space for the week and told us to come right in. Robert and Michelle have the most darling campground along the river, (the clue is in the name 😉), they are friendly and accommodating, offering a family run campground with great amenities in an excellent location. We spent a few evenings around the campfire with the owners and other campers. If you are looking for a place that feels like home with awesome hosts then look no further. You will arrive as strangers and leave as friends.

Spent a great weekend at this quaint and immaculate campground. My husband and I have both been camping our entire lives and this was easily one of the cleanest campgrounds! Sites were spotless, including the fire ring. We stayed on a grassy riverfront site with our pup, and while the sites surrounding us looked compact, ours was the perfect size for our 13ft camper. We were able to back it in parallel to the river tucked into the corner giving us a great river view! Trees and shrubs between sites offered privacy despite close proximity to neighbors. It appeared our site (R6B I believe) had been recently split into two, and greenery between those sites is still young so would be a great set of sites for two parties traveling together. River was accessible from the common area steps, but would be to steep to reach at least from our site. Lots of little brook trout! Could hear it babbling in the evening which was perfect for sleeping. We spent only a weekend and did not use many of the plentiful amenities, but the pool appeared spotless, and plenty of families enjoyed the playground, volleyball, and rec center with at least ping-pong and bumper pool from what I could see. The spotless and bug free bathhouse offered free showers. Fire pits do not come with grates, but they can be rented at the counter. The central location to the Notches, Mt. Washington, the Flume, the Basin and the Franconia bike trail make it ideal for day trips to the surrounding sights. Parking for the bike trail was conveniently located less than 15 minutes away. As we enjoy the peace and quiet, the campground quiet hours were appreciated. Rowdy groups may prefer elsewhere, but for those who enjoy a relaxing camping experience, nature in its glory, friendly and hospitable hosts, and immaculate cleanliness, this is definitely the place to stay. We will undoubtedly be back!

Great family friendly place, clean bathrooms, large grass area to play with the kids. Low water river, very safe for the kids. Great staff, very friendly and polite.

Just came back from camping at this place. Site was good but the staff or owners, whoever, were very rude and unprofessional. They came and interrupted us with attitudes in the middle of our activities. People from next site also had the same complaints.

They do have a large sink just outside of the restrooms
I agree with C W. As long as the dog doesn't bark while you're not there & it is cool enough.
