Quahog Republic: Waterfront Eatery

When I was a kid in the 50's, this was a shell shop. Every summer I would come here to add to my growing collection. 60 years later, it's a restaurant with an ice cream and coffee shop on the side, and a band shell out back. My family ate a delicious lunch here yesterday and enjoyed locally made ice cream afterwards on Adirondack chairs on the lawn. It was a delightful meal.

Stopped at Quahog Republic for lunch yesterday. Waitress indicated everything was”to die for”! That got our hopes up! We ordered a cup of lobster bisque ($13), a stuffed scallop ($9) and fish & chips ($21.00!!!!). Can you say outrageous??? The bisque was barely eatable. Too much salt or some other seasoning! The stuffie was over cooked and for the price, the fish & chips only had one fillet! $21.00! And it was definitely NOT “to die for”! If you’re looking for great sea food, stop at Anthony’s in Middletown RI. And get the best fish & chips (light batter, 2 fillets) for $14.00! NEVER going to Quahog Republic again! Ripoff!
