Station is fairly clean although there are people sleeping in it. Train was on time.

Majestic station in its own scale, built in 1916, 5 minutes from Seton Hall University and 30 minutes to the city

Is there non-permit parking nearby?

There"s plenty meter parking both indoor and outdoor from 8-6pm M-S and free before and after those hours and there's free daytime parking in the residential area, but always need to observe posted signs before parking. There's No parking on Any Street or parking lot from 2-5am 7days without a parking permit. Parking fines are quite expressive so always feed the meter or park appropriately, and enjoy your stay.
