There's a beautiful river circling around the property, both James and Tim are nice guys. Cabins happen to be fully furnished.... Bathrooms + kitchens.... Luxury cabins compared to the basic 'bed, mini fridge and broom' at other campgrounds!!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in ansville. The rushing river and cricket sounds at night were a huge plus. We could open the bedroom sliding door and sit on the porch overlooking the river. The cabin was clean and had just about everything we needed to cook meals and relax for our stay. We purchased a Groupon and paid less than it would cost to stay in a Motel 6 for a cute cabin on the water. Whats not to love about that! With that being said, be prepared to sort of see your time here as "self serve" the owners are not often on site, but we did run into someone who helps out around the place the second day we were there. The owner did respond promptly to all my emails, but the phone number on the website is not a quick way to get in touch with them. Note that you can get to the Adirondaks from the resort with about an hour drive but you are more just in a small neighborhood setting along a peaceful river. I thought the grounds could use a little work but we were here for the off season so no biggie. Our bed was comfortable, but we have friends who stayed and theirs was not, so bring a memory foam pad or something along. For the price that we paid it was AMAZING! It was peaceful, clean, and comfortable and it put us just over an hour away from Old Forge.
