This is by far the cleanest and friendliest hotel/motel in the area. Well worth the drive off 69 or 75. They housekeeper is the best. The rooms are clean, smell great and makes you feel at home. You can tell she and the owners take great pride in what they do. You wont find a better place to stay.

We had a funeral to attend in a nearby town. I was desperate to have my mom and aunt be in the same motel. The staff/owners went well out of their way to make that happen, and I am very grateful that they made it happen!! ❤ Front staff were incredibly friendly. Clean rooms. Slightly antiquated bed coverings, but quaint. SUPER QUIET!! Lovely yard with beautiful flowers. It was a joy to wake up on an emotionally hard day to a stellar sunrise with birds chirping, well maintained area. It often is the little things. Housekeeping staff was very friendly when I told her oops my party of two just turned to four, and when I apologized for the extra work, she said not to worry. This town is where I spent the first 7 years of my life. It was great to come back after 40 years and still feel that small town, peaceful love. Highly recommend.

My son bought a new house 6 months ago, and I came to Michigan to see him and my grandson. I stayed at the Sunset Motel 1 minute away from his house. Small little Cottages I think they have 10 of them I've been there since 1953. Quiet very clean and the owners help you with any questions you had. I was there for one week and it was a great experience and the price was right. I will definitely be back

1 For The People

Very darling and very clean place! On a recent trip to the area for a convention our group booked four rooms. We all were very pleased with our accomodations. The rooms were spotless, well maintained and the beds comfy. The only confusion was trying to run the heaters but we figured it out. The owners were always available ready and willing to help if we had any needs. Should we travel to this area again we will be staying at this motel. I give this place 5 Stars and recommend it to anyone that needs a room in the area. 🖒🖒
