A wonderful place to launch a non-motorized boat. Plenty of parking and access to the Rail Trail.

No words to describe how beautiful is walking in the woods specially in the summer in upstate NY. This park is just perfect to walking, running and biking around.

Cozy park on the shore of the Wallkill river at the rail trail parking lot. Easy kayak launch with a gravel entry. Parking for about 8 cars, with more space at the rail trail. Current is gentle and the banks are tree lined with agricultural fields or houses beyond. Not as much wildlife or fish as rivers through wildlife areas, but an easy way to get away from the town and relax.

As far as the boat launch goes, it's an excellent asset to have. I can't speak for any other facet of the park but the ramp. Access is well layed out and the gravel surface makes for good traction and mud free maneuvers for car-top and trailered vessels. No motorized boats permitted. On scene, during the Summer months, is a privately run kayak rental if you are so inclined.

Yes, leashed.
No. The water has been tested repeatedly and it does not pass as safe to swim. Its a travesty.
