I called Acorn and got an appointment within a couple of days. The salesman came out, explained everything thoroughly and was very patient with my father-in-law who is hard of hearing and my mother-in-law who was the primary reason for the chair. He did not try to 'sell' the most expensive unit, providing pros and cons for the different models. We expressed the desire for a speedy install and I was called that night with an appointment in 2 days. The install was just as smooth. As promised, the installer called a half hour before he showed up (a step that often gets overlooked). He was professional, efficient and patient when it came to instructing both of my in-laws on how to use the chair, getting each of them use it in his presence. While we haven't had the chair for a real long time, I have to give Acorn props for the first two stages of the process.

The scheduling dept. does not call back and transposes the verification telephone number to 536 instead of 563. very frustrating! Steve was good. The support people leave a lot to be desired.

Very pleased with the staff and products they offer. Super fast initial visit, and installation was quick and professional.

09/02/22 I had our stairlift installed and paid just over $15,000.00 in full at the completion of the installation. 09/08/22 we had an issue with the stairlift which went beyond the stopping point and did not level properly when moving up/down the stairs. I called Acorn and went online to request a repairman to come and inspect the stairlift. 09/16/22 Abosolutely no response from Acorn to date. Do these things have any kind of warranty? I contacted Lennard who sold me the stairlift and he sent me text pictures of him making contact with the main office in Florida and again to date no one has tried to make contact with me to schedule a repair person to inspect the stairlift. After several cycles up/down the stairs the J3 code cleared itself and the stairlift function normally but the end plate where it did not stop is still cracked and needs to be changed. I makes me think if this stairlift should break down will a repair person even come out to repair it? If this should happen and no one comes out to perform the repairs and my is unable to go up/down the stairs there will be some serious litigations with Acorn. And I am going to request they extend my warranty coverage because Acorn is the reason for the delays in sending someone out to inspect the stairlift. I live in Hawaii and their company is in Florida so the 6 hour time difference is a small window of opportunity for me to make contact with them but that is a problem Acorn should address. They surely took my money without a problem so now I hope they can provide the service they so call offer.
