This was quite the experience! The place is done up kind of like a castle, with stonework and timbers. Lots of armor all around. Very cool setting! They seem to have a surprisingly limited beer selection, especially German beers. I think it's basically just a couple Warsteiner beers, or domestic stuff. But the food was pretty good. Kind of like German American fusion. Had the sauerkraut balls which are definitely recommended. Basically, little reuben nuggets. Also tried the schnitzel and the Bavarian chicken, both well worth it. Fair warning, the sauerkraut packs a punch! It'll pucker you up real good. Never had sauerkraut quite like that before!

Man there was so much I wanted to try. Ended up with the Bavarian Pork Chop. It was delicious. I have had better potato pancakes but theirs was good. German theme was awesome. Will be back in the spring for the beer garden overlooking the river.

Waitress was very courteous and prompt, food was just average, $50 worth of pork chops were extremely tough. The shrimp cocktail was fresh but a little pricey for 7 pieces of shrimp 12.95 Fried pickles were good, the spears were better than the pickle chips they have now.

Yes. We had my daughter's birthday party there and it was great. Set us up outside. I would recommend them highly.
They are opened again and it's absolutely fantastic with the river bar open in the back. The food is great!
