The best experience ever. Captain was the bomb, very knowledgeable about the whales. I was jealous my boyfriend got kissed by the whales (whale breathe) but seriously such a good time!! We see the whales all the time from shore, Its a whole different experience from the boat:

We had a beautiful sunny day and great crew on the Mariner. But we didnt have much luck that day. Only 3 fish and 3 crab. But was fun and we will be back to troy again.

My mom and I had such a wonderful experience! We arrived and were told that they might have to refund us If they couldn’t fill the charter- we appreciated the honesty and so we waited. The lady working the booth was so kind. They weren’t able to get 12 people, but they called in Capt. Richard Newton. He took us out on Kimberly Ann. An awesome captain, we had a great time watching 2 whales feed and play in the area near Boiler Bay. He made sure we got plenty of time to watch! The price is extremely affordable, but also worth every penny just for the experience. I look forward to going out again this summer!

100% recommend! Took my twins on the whale watching charter for one hour for their 7th bday and the whole family loved it. Captain and crew member were great, we saw plenty of whales.

Black Rockfish aka Seabass (most common), multiple types of Rockfish, Cabazon, Lingcod. Rockfish types that you can keep right now include Canary Rockfish and Tiger Rockfish. All of them are very good eating fish, my favorite to eat is Lingcod, but I do enjoy all of them personally. (I do not work for Tradewinds or any of the boats, but am a frequent fisherman with Tradewinds).

I went on Friday and no license was required. It was great fun & saw 2 different pods!
We were about 14 in the boat. Each family group keeps social distancing, mostly standing.
I believe it's 100 dollars for a half day fishing, crabbing combination I went last June and it's well worth it
It's 100 a person but that includes crabbing it's cheaper for just fishing

We have been bottom fishing, and now the salmon are in. Haven't heard of any boats targeting tuna.
