Great place to fish or maybe look for gold! Water can be fast and sun very hot so be prepared.

Beautiful little campground on the Merced River. Gold panning allowed. Road is closed due to rock slide so hike or bike down.

First come , first serve. Nice access to the beach areas.

Not much but at the entrance near the bridge with Verizon, you will
The only provider that has signal out at these campgrounds is Verizon but it's spotty. One site might have signal while the site right next door won't. While I was there I still had signal but I wouldn't rely on that for anything important like a class.
It is open, along with the other two campgrounds on the same road. All sites are first come first served. It is best to get there early and check for open spaces. If none are available you have to wait and be quick once someone leaves. I usually arrive around 6am to ensure I get a spot.
This last weekend it was on a first come first serve basis. My mom lives up there and reserved 3 sites for 2 weeks just to have us all there this weekend. It was packed and many extra people were coming into the beach area where we camped.
First come first serve
No first come first serve. Show up early. The good spots fill up fast.
I literally just got back from rail road flats yesterday usually check out is 2 but for 35 years in a row I get there at about 9;00am so I get my choice of sites usually the same one for year's also I try to get there on a Tuesday when the well and campers are packing up.
Sure, if you get there as early as you can then you'll find a place to camp.. Let say try to arrive by 7:00 am to 8:00 am to start looking for a place.. We are a big group So, some of us drive one or two days ahead.. Because you can not reserve a place.
Yes most likely..
Envelope drop box near the bathroom
I have stayed there the last two weekends it is OPEN no stoves no fires no BBQ only things that you don't have to cook not really busy near the 2nd campground
Yes
It's hard to say because it's all first come first served. I would say get there as early in the morning as possible (6-7am). I'll usually do a couple laps on the road checking all 3 campgrounds for open spaces. Most times you'll either see someone packing up or they'll just see you and let you know they're leaving.
There are a few pullout areas where you could maybe get away with that during the early morning or late at night. During the better part of the day the rangers patrol and kick out anyone not in an official campsite.
You can select how many days and marked on the envelope
Yes on both
We might not be open those days
what you'll have to do is go down there early grab a ticket from the sign right as soon as you hit the beach part grab a ticket and fill it out for the days your going to be there so.left say you want to stay Friday through Sunday. Your best bet is go out there Tuesday grab a ticket and pay for the extra days so Tuesday through Sunday to save your spot. And if anyone end up in the camp site you save your ticket and call the ranger to boot them out. Its kind mean but you gotta do what you gotta do lol
Yes small with care at bridge
The briceburg fire was affecting it, but 140 is now open. Hope this has helped
Yes it's still open for camping
Yea you can fish and eat them, there is much better fishing to be had down at the fork of the river if you don't mind a little hike.
Be careful, the bridge to get to the campsite is rather tight. Make sure you can drive the RV in tight quarters.
