The hotel should advise disabled travelers to stay away. I could share a great many details...suffice to say this was a "no, not ever again" mistake.

The staff is absolutely exceptional and kind. There was a minor issue in our room and upon informing Andrea at the front desk, she immediately jumped into action to help us and offered us other accommodations as an apology. The hotel room is also charming and quite pleasant. It is definitely notably a historic building, but my husband and I still found it cute and cozy. We'd love to come back when possible.

We came out to Groveland for a wedding, and stayed for a few days afterwards to go to Yosemite, since at the time of booking all of the lodges in Yosemite Valley were booked or extraordinarily expensive. We found the experience at Groveland Hotel very nice, and just what we needed, albeit few frills (although the Keurig in the room was a nice touch). We got a regular room with a Queen bed, the room had the bed, a chair, a little dresser area, but not room for much else, although the bathroom was ample size. Staff was very nice, helpful, and responsive throughout our stay. The hotel is on the main street of Groveland, which has a number of nice shops and restaurants, so the location in that regard is pretty ideal! With regard to Yosemite, it's about an hour drive each way, but the drive is scenic and lovely - for 2-3 days in Yosemite, I have no qualms about staying here! More than that might be a lot of travel.

Pricey but cute. Greqt location. Apparently, the windows in our room did not open and there was no AC or even a fan in our room so getting ready for a wedding (i.e. blow drying my hair) turned into a sweaty adventure :( I can't imagine how hot our room would get in the summer 🥵
