Covenant House is a blessing to at risk youth. Darren Miller is a great primary youth advisor. You can tell that he is passionate about his job. He has a heart for youth and is very compassionate and empathic. He was made for his position.

Broke up a fight while two staff watching in their station. Got kicked out along side another person, im pretty sure one of the fighters is still allowed to stay.
A complete joke.
Hi I’m 20 and dealing with a homophobic mother who hates anything LGBT+ as I’m trans(she doesn’t know yet) and it’s killing me to pretend who she wants me to be but had enough I have nowhere else to go. Can I come there?

My son left in the middle of the night the night before he was to pick up his High School Graduation Cap and Gown. I waited at the school for him and he never showed up. Pinged his phone to Covenant House . They just blew me off! He is gone months

You are allowed to have a phone but if you have ssi I think they will ask for a portion of it

You can drop off gifts anytime of the year but if the gifts are Xmas gifts, I would advice you drop them off close to Xmas.

No. They only accept young adult between the age of 18 and 21 years old.

If you have children go to the board of social service and perhaps you will qualify for temporary rental assistance (TRA). Newark bss is located at 18 Rector street .
hi am 53 years old am leaving the hospital diagnosed with cancer my husband said he dosent want in his life he wants a divoice and i cannit stay with him he does nit want to have anything to do with my illness,, can i stay there i need help
Just have him come in with identification and the staff there will give him all the information to register and evaluate him. There he will recieve a bed given there is bed available. If not he will be on an on call list. He will also receive toiletries clothing if needed food help with education and finding work hope this answers your question
