Dental appointment with Dr. Madden. She is one of the VAs finest. Very thorough exam. She stresses flossing is better than brushing by 40percent.

I personally fired the VA for the simple fact that they destroy veterans lives!!! I will now be known as non-military and no longer a veteran!!!

Yesterday we went to the VA and we were told to see the blue team however dad doesn’t have an appointment to see a PCP there until August 31, so I knew we were being sent to the wrong place but nobody would listen to me. So we went to the evaluation clinic today after being told that we needed to go there from the blue team (the doctor denied what dad needed because he hasn’t seen them, well duh!). So we got there this morning at nine. This morning at 10 I talk to the people and explain that we need to leave by 11. So we got to see a doctor by 1015 and by 10 30 we had the order. We go to prosthetic and they tell us that because it is not a shower chair we need to go to OT. Now can someone please explain to me how you can get a shower chair in a clawfoot tub as a clawfoot tub does not have a flat service and is extremely narrow? How is a transfer bench an OT problem when we need something to fit over the clawfoot tub and a shower chair is not going to do it? We are going to go to Dad’s Civilian doctor and try to get this taken care of because apparently the VA can’t do it. I am appreciative to the doctor and everyone who saw us today except for the prosthetic people. I also made a formal complaint and I’m waiting for administration to call my dad later tonight. Now I see why people don’t go to the VA. All they know how to do is get you to a place you don’t need to be or tell you to go to a doctor that you don’t need to go to. Edit: it is it is 7 o’clock and no administrator has called us. So I will call their boss for a phone number tomorrow.

Yes
This location is ABSOLUTELY NOT the worst or even bad. I've never had to wait for an appointment I've never had to wait for labs anytime I have an issue it's resolved fairly quickly. A lot of people have medical issues and that puts their stress level higher so they're already highly irritated before they call or visit the VA and they think that because they're a veteran that the VA is supposed to just wait on them hand foot and that's just not how it works. I am a new army veteran and I've been coming to this VA for over 3 years and I think it's amazing. Even during in the beginning of the pLandemic, even though my face-to-face appointments got canceled they still were followed up & received zoom appointments in replacement of those physical appointments.
Where are you? The VA web site has a list that will direct you to the nearest VBA office.
The eye clinic is on the first floor. It's the last desk on the right of you come in the front door or the first desk on the left of you come in the back. To get a free pair of glasses go upstairs and sign in at the desk across from the lab and next to travel claims and id desk.
Call the main # and use the menus, they don't give out extensions to the plebes
Hello... I work there and just asked my lab supervisor. She says you can walk in for labs after 1pm here at Jacksonville clinic on Jefferson St. If you come in before 1pm they work you in between patients with appointments. Hope that helps!
Just had x ray done i believe its 8 to 5
Yes go to Jacksonville 1st and see what these social worker can do for you there and they are probably able to give you some direction.
M-F 7-5 and any Saturday that a holiday does not follow from 730-1030
Bring your W-2 form DD-214 form with you go down to the VA Outpatient Clinic there and when you walk in the doors the security guard that can direct you to the office but it's right around the corner and they'll do all the paperwork and sign you up and you can get in to see a doctor right away
Walk-ins are accepted at our VA Clinic. If your not an established patient and you don't have a VA provider, keep in mind though, this is an outpatient clinic, not a hospital! You should first call your team if you're an established patient with any none life-threatening concerns you may have for appropriate redress. Life-threatening issues should be treated at the nearest hospital. The Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic is not a Hospital. New VA patients without established VA care in North Florida South Georgia VA's Healthcare System, walk-in before 5:00 pm to our Evaluation Clinic for assistance. You may also need to fulfill eligibility and enrollment requirements beforehand for some instances, arriving earlier versus later if you can is highly advised!
7:00am - 4:00pm m-f
There is no emergency clinic after 5:00pm
Yes
8 am
Typical VA! They'll tell you to arrive 30 mins prior to an appointment but if you're 15 mins late (no excuses, traffic, accident, death) they'll make you reschedule! As for 6:30 AM time that's when some employees start arriving!
If you're hearing has a warranty they can replace them. If not you will have to go through getting an updated hearing exam before getting new.
Yes, they have a VSO office with several Service Officers.
Was just there for Labs and was talking to them about the phone issue and as always it's an on going issues with he phone line not working.
It's not an emergency room...more of an urgent care type. It close at 5pm.
Yes you can, at Timuquan
Once a year. Unless you lose them. You would need to speak with prosthetic department to get a replacement glasses.
The VA clinic does not do that kind of thing for veterans, however, there are veteran organizations that may be able to assist with recommending resources to find housing. Research veteran organizations in Jacksonville, FL.
U go to clinic n fill out the form n leave it

It doesn't matter whether your service-connected or not whether you pay. I'm not service-connected I don't pay anything cuz I serve during Vietnam
I don't know, I'm not diabetic. You will have time call and ask the dental clinic because they would know best.
Probably not unless they are also veterans

The clinic closes at 5:30 pm. Some services may close sooner than that, typically at 4:30 pm.
I would say that you could just walk into the clinic and then get registered.
