Danced there for 10 years and I can say if you are not one of the favorites you are wasting your money!! She would yell and discriminate younger kids who dont get it right away, ruining the whole aspect of learning. My sister who also went there has a learning disorder and all cindy does was yelled at her labelled her as a “bad kid” and she would always be crying. She was not even 10 at the time… so unprofessional and never understanding or take the extra step in helping the ones that struggle but instead the “favorites” like she gave up or something like really you are suppose to be a teacher. I wouldnt get invited to a lot of gatherings they did and was often left out but once I said I was quitting all of a sudden i get all these invites. After 10 years I can gladly say its not worth it, it is sad that over the years after quitting I realized more and more things that I wish I stood up for myself for but I didnt know any better i was just a kid.

*First, please note, many of these reviews with 5 stars are for the event facility - not the actual dance studio for children; otherwise, the review score would be much lower. Cindy is rude and unprofessional. I was certain I had to pull my daughter out of any class of Cindy's in order to protect her and make sure Cindy didn't ruin dance for my daughter. Separately, both my child's father and I were completely thrown off guard by Cindy's bizarre communication style regarding my child's behavior. Cindy made it a mission to loudly, unprofessionally, and in front of the other parents, point out that our daughter was not paying attention on 1 occasion last year. Then we heard nothing more until the start of this year and didn't notice any behavior that was noticeable compared to the other 4 year old's in class. Then this year, Cindy made it a personal mission on the first day of class to run over to me 3 times to point out my daughter's behavior in the same unprofessional and rude fashion. She never said hi to us and didn't focus on much else during class. Cindy painted my daughter out to be "bad" and "behind." My daughter loves to dance. After that incident and now that we have found another dance studio, Edge in Lake Mary, that is actually FUN for kids, no wonder why our daughter who is normally well behaved was bored in class. It was a completely different dance experience and the teachers at Edge knew how to keep the children's attention with fun games while learning that dance is fun. It was clear, I agree with the other comments about favorites, I am glad I got to see Cindy's unpleasant behavior before my daughter got too far into her studio. I danced for 15 years and would suggest that the teachers should have the capability of disciplining a 4 year old and some training rather than texting Cindy in the middle of class like it's the end of the world if a 4 year old isn't at Juilliard level. Even her final email was rude when I politely asked her to disregard our registration- to get her final word in. Miss Cindy was incredibly OBNOXIOUS. This is my first bad experience with a teacher. My child's grandparents who witnessed Cindy's behavior and we as parents agreed, that if Cindy had no problem talking to adults the way she did, we were worried about the damage she would do to our daughter. We moved on to a friendly and encouraging environment with relief and peace.

Another year ! With all the pandemic and difficult times , I’m grateful of all the new ways Mrs Cindy and staff used this year to keep the place clean , sanitized , but most important FUN ! My daughter would not have it any other way , she loves it . If you are looking for your kid to be awarded for hard work and dedication while making it a fun environment this is the place. If you are looking to satisfied your childhood needs and relive them through your kids without any constructive criticism , this is not for you. My daughter is on her 6th year , and she looks forward to 2021/22. She’s never been what some call in some reviews “Favorites” but like I said that’s not why she goes there for . She goes there to learn , become better , and have fun . Mrs. Cindy and staff keep on Dancing it away and look forward to year 7 ....

I am currently paying $55 a month for my 5 year old to take one class per week. I believe they offer ballet and tap for that age group.
