I or a Transportation company I managed have been using The Hitching post for over 10 years for my Jeeps, a company Van and other vehicles. their work and service is without question the best... However on Tuesday August 30th i had just driven 14 hours from Maryland and because my wife who just passed told me "Don't sell the RV, I want you to travel and enjoy yourself: so I made very good travel time on the return and found myself in Ocala before closing time and decided to stop at The Hitching Post to make arrangements to have the same BASE (with a B) Plate installed on my newer White 94 jeep Wrangler like the one that they installed on 92 wrangler. The owner came out to the counter and I showed him the picture of the new Jeeps bumper and the previous Jeep and asked if the could install the same "Face" Plate on the newer Jeep( in my tired groggy condition I must have said Face plate a couple of times? where upon the owner informed me.. ITS BASE WITH a B !!! he became more agitated complaining to his staffer my phone picture had a green haze on the picture and he couldn't make it out, so I asked if they could pull my records and put the same plate on my newer Jeep and he said we have your record but no list of the parts we used where upon he stood up taller and said in a louder voice "Anyway it'll cost NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS!! Wait,, this is not the same treatment I had known in the past but I got the message.. some how i had aggravated him and I was no longer a valued customer but a nuisance so I said .wow. that's a big increase and he said that prices went up!!. Whew!..Now I no longer felt welcome so I thanked him and left.. but after arriving home instead of going right to sleep I was kept awake by the incident and thought, .. I cant tell you how many times people asked me where I got that impressive Base (with a B) Plate and i would give them one of the cards I carried in the jeep or point to their company sticker on the front of the plate... So I guess I may have walked into a bigger problem and it was just a Bad day for him and my encounter was unusual and does not reflect on the quality of their work and service.

This place, people was great. Very friendly, efficient, and attentive to our needs. They went above anything to get our car ready for the road. If anyone needs a hitch installed I would highly recommend The Hitching Post. I definitely give them 5 stars. Don and Charlene Stacy

Jay is a true professional. He operates with honesty and Integrity. They installed a Gooseneck hitch and wiring in my Ford Super Duty... They were quick and professional and they do what they say! Thank you Jay.
