Absolutely delicious food. It was a quiet little place, but very pretty views. We sat outside. Great service

Decent place for bbq, cornbread wasn't my favorite but the brisket was tender (and had some crispy parts)! The bbq sauce is homemade and was a great addition. Our waitress was awesome and attentive, even though she was the only one serving, she did well!

UPDATE: On May 12th I called at 11:15am (they open at 11am) to take Chrystal up on her offer of a few free meals and got an answering machine. I left a voice mail. No call back. I was on my way out to Bristol so thought I'd stop in. I went in, 3 people at a table and no staff anywhere around. I stood there for 5 minutes. Nobody around. I'm still waiting for a call back. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We used to drive by Porky's when here on vacation the past few years and it was always closed or something but now that we live here we were driving by and were excited to stop and finally try it. It was downhill from there. The menu is a little convoluted but Allysha was nice and took our order. The bill seemed a little higher than I thought which turned out was because the menu is "cash pricing". If you use a card there is a 4% charge. I think it should be the other way around. The first time, and hopefully last, that I've encountered that anywhere, much less Vermont. Although there were only 2 people in the dining room, it seemed like Allysha was awfully busy. Must've been other takeout orders. We asked if she could hold off on putting the order in for 10 minutes as we were going to Shelburne and back and needed some extra time to pickup the order. No problem, which was appreciated. We ordered a brisket philly basket and a pulled pork basket. When we came back to pickup the order, thankfully I checked it because we had 2 burgers and a wrap in the bag. So I took it back in and was told they would fix another order. Not sure what happened there but we had to wait another 10 minutes for that. Then once we started eating the food, we were really let down. Thankfully bad food is a rarity in Vermont but unfortunately this was the worst meal we've had here by far. The cole slaw had no dressing on it. My wife's pulled pork basket was a brisket basket with big chunks of brisket on a plain bun with no BBQ sauce. My brisket philly was a little better. Some BBQ sauce on it and the hoagie roll and veggies were good. Unfortunately, the Brisket, which is usually sliced not in huge chunks, was a mix of charcoal-like pieces and decently cooked brisket chunks. The fries were limp and soggy. Not sure if it was a bad day or what but that can't be normal if you plan to be a good BBQ place and stay in business. I had to go back in 3 different times, as I ran into each unpleasant surprise, to get ketchup/mayo for fries and sandwiches, BBQ sauce for the dry sandwich and cole slaw dressing for the shredded cabbage, none of which were included in the takeout order. Alecia was nice enough to put a few extra punches on my newly issued meal card but that doesn't help much when you pay more than $40 for a couple of mediocre sandwiches. Why would I come back and endure 4 more notches on that meal card and the expense that came along with it?
