Love the deland library. Always clean. Great selection of books. Rather large library. Great kids section. They always have tons of things going on to help make learning fun. Will always love this library. I used to come as a child now I take my children here.

I absolutely love this library. The staff are very personable and so are the security officers. They usually have what im looking for and if not it's quick to order it and have it sent. It's always clean. I do wish they had more programs for families to do together.

Yes there are they are free but you need a library card. I believe its in 30 ro 45 minute increments.
You have to register to check out items in the library and online. There is no cost as long as you live in Volusia county.
Unfortunately, the library does not provide notary services. Many of the banks in town do provide the service, but may charge. The UPS store has a notary that might be able to help you as well.
We have Spanish books in Fiction and Nonfiction. The Spanish books are located on the 2nd floor right before our Reference section. Please stop by so we can show you where are collection is located. Also, we can order additional materials in Spanish from other libraries in the Volusia County Public Library system.
Yes. There is free WiFi. They also have WiFi hotspot spots that can be checked out for up to two weeks.
The library has a group that plays chess on Saturday afternoons. They usually arrive around 1-1:30 and play until about 4:30.
We have a nice collection of audios and playaways that will help you learn to speak Spanish. Most of those materials are located in our nonfiction audio section of the library with the call number 468.3421 on the spine label of the audio. If you come in to the library, we will be happy to take you to that section. You may also call us at 822-6430, and we can put the material on hold for you to pick up at the library location of your choice. If you need more information, please let us know.
The library does have a printer and a copier. If you are printing from a computer, the cost is $.15 for black and white prints and $.25 for color. If you need to make copies on the copier, the cost is $.10 for black and white and $.25 for color copies.
Yes, we do have public faxes. It is $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for every page after that. So, if you have 5 pages to fax, it will cost $5.75. You may use a debit or credit card or buy a fax card from our circulation desk. It is the same price regardless of how you choose to pay.
The library system currently has copies of the 2014 edition of The Law of Florida Homeowners Associations on the shelf, however, we do not wish to provide our patrons with outdated information. To that end we have ordered copies of the 2017 edition, which was published last fall, and those should be arriving very soon. One copy has been slated to be delivered to the DeLand Library when it arrives. If you do not have a library card, please visit one of our branches to register for one.
Volusia county clerk of court website. Look under case inquiry.
The library closes at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 5 p.m. Friday Saturday and Sunday.
The library does not have a copy of the mini-series The Fire Next Time starring Craig T. Nelson.
