BEWARE. Literally the worst place I have ever lived. I toured and the model they show you is NOT like the apartments you will move into. When I moved in, the apartment was DIRTY. They told me I'd have to wait a week before I could move in after the last tenant had moved out for cleaning purposes, but the floor was not vacuumed nor shampooed when I got there as they said it would be and was "required upon move out from residents," there was hair, roaches, and dirt everywhere, including a giant stain in the carpet that they said "wouldn't come out, yet I got it out in 10 minutes after just spraying one thing on it. I ended up staying for the sake of not having the time or money to break the lease and move elsewhere (as they said I would have to buy out my lease from them to cancel it). I lived here for the remainder of the year and continued to find cockroaches 24/7 on the floor, ceiling, etc., and was told once by maintenance that was common. My neighbor and I also found black mold that we were told " isn't a problem"??? When I went to the office finally to bring notice to the issues, I was greeted with a "What do you want?" from the assistant property manager before I even spoke, (and I had never mentioned any complaint before). I had to go to the office during business hours because NO ONE would answer my calls or return any emails. This is such a terrible place that appears to be a nice community on the outside. All of my neighbors I had met also had the same complaints and said they would not renew their leases here either.

Great place to live. Very homey. Maintenance requests are usually taken care of the same day and definitely within 24 hours.

I scheduled an appointment online three days ago for a tour tomorrow at 5:00 and Cameron decided to wait until the day before to reach out and say that they don't do tours that late. If their website were up to date, or if their staff hadn't waited until last minute to review the schedule, I would have had time to schedule with someone else for tomorrow evening but now those appointments are all full. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing, but I guess it's better to find out now than after signing a lease!

Really Great Place to Live! Love my apartment - not some cookie cutter place. Has crown molding in the dining area, a cathedral ceiling in the living room, and ceiling fans in each room. Is a nice color (not just white everywhere). Has attractive kitchen, lighting, and bathroom fixtures and counters/cupboards and a Huge Tub in the master bath. Has a spacious balcony and mine faces a wooded area. I have a free storage room with my unit plus lots of closet space. The units have fairly good soundproofing between units and carpeting on upper floors (a HUGE PLUS IMO since so many apts are switching to wood floors which are "horribly noisy" when upstairs neighbors walk around like in my former Chapel Hill apartment). The exterior of the complex is really pretty with a combo of wood and brick siding, varied roof lines and balconies, and lots of decorative exterior touches. The pool is nice but small. There is a lovely club house sitting area with large screen TV and kitchen but it rarely gets used because you have to rent it for the whole day and pay $200 every time so weekly meetings there (for book clubs, Bible study, etc.) are not affordable. That price may also have increased with the rents. The complex and landscaping is kept up fairly well but the landscaper is lazy and leaves branches and debris around and runs over filled poop bags so they are ripped and spread over the grass. We don't have enough dog poop stations either so many people give up and leave the poop behind or even throw the bagged poop on the ground wherever. Maintenance works hard, knows how to fix just about anything, and are very friendly but understaffed and the office staff is constantly changing so that is a big drawback (4 dif Property Managers in less than 2 years and we currently have no PM). Rent increased by $115 last May and another $215 this May for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit with no new services and despite less office and maintenance staff than when I moved in. Been here for 2 years and would like to stay but am not sure that I will be able to afford to next summer. These increases are outrageous. May even have to leave the Durham are which is crazy since I moved here from Western NY in large part for significantly cheaper housing costs!
