What a wonderful event and much needed for the economy. Seeing all the animals and artist booths was pretty cool. The fact I got to work the show was even better.Thank you for your review!

This year was the best in a long time. Security was seen throughout and for the first Saturday of being open the crowd was not overwhelmed. Very clean and beyond many options of extra things to do on the inside that was air conditioned.

It was fun this year considering I haven't been in a few years. Very expensive, but worth it for the kids to have a good time. I will say, I was looking forward to the food & lemonade this year & it just isn't what it used to be at all. All in all my kids had fun & there was no trouble. It was nice to get to go this year.Thank you for your review! Glad to hear your kids had a good time. See you next year!

You'll probably have to ask for it when you leave I believe they give a stamp. Tho I'm not 100% sure I'd ask when you enter. Hope this helps
I saw the show. I didn't think they were being mistreated.
Yes
We do not have a dollar day at the Fair.
We went as a school and did exactly that because there wasn't enough time to get them mailed to us. We got 150 tickets though. As a family your mileage may vary.
Gate 2 and used the trail
You just buy them at the gate. You don't have to but then in advance.
The exhibit halls close at 9 pm. And the fair's last day is Aug 25th. The animal exhibits should also be open till then, but it depends on the animal owners.
Yes, they have a booth to take tickets set up for people who walk in at the gate.
Our exhibit halls close at 10 p.m. or 9 p.m. depending on the day. The rides close midnight.
We d not have karaoke at the Fair this year.
Yes they are few but you will need to ride with them
It is open from August 15th through August 25th. Hours of operation: For the inside... Sun-Thurs 7am gates open. 9am-9pm exhibit hall open Fri-Sat 9am-10pm. Outside Opens at 2pm Mon-Thurs Opens at 12pm Fri-Sun. Always open till midnight. I definitely recommend downloading their app.
Yes you can I believe. Must be on a leash and we'll behaved. It's very hot at fair. Might be better for dog at home. I had a huskey they like cooler home than hot fair. If you do bring dog bring lots of water. 🐾🐕
There are so MANY great food options. A lot of people swear by Newton's, Pat's is known for corndogs, Sivori has the interesting Fair foods covered, grilled corn is always a must and all of the ice cream is delicious.

With the exception of the World's Championship Horse Show and the outdoor concert venue, the Kentucky State Fair is dog-friendly. Enjoy the Fair!
It gets pretty full sometimes you have to stand and no roof
They have wheelchairs and scooters at frount entrance. You can rent for day.
It should say on the website
For this coming Saturday only: to access Kentucky Kingdom without attending the Fair, patrons will need to come in Gate 2 and park in designated Kentucky Kingdom parking. Season pass parking will be honored and other Kentucky Kingdom visitors will need to pay parking. If guests come in any other gate or park in Fair designated parking, they would be required to pay both Fair admission and parking. If Kentucky Kingdom guests want to leave the park and attend the Fair they will need to pay Fair gate admission.
We do not allow them inside the buildings, but you're more than welcome to have one in your car to have a picnic.
Seating is provided on a first come first serve basis. Enjoy the show!

We're announcing our concert series early in June. Stay tuned!
They have several wheel chair booths. I'm not sure if they can be reserved or what the rate is. We went in the afternoon and there were plenty left at the locations I saw.
Pets are allowed except in the concert/horse show seating areas. We do ask that all pets be leashed, in a stroller and owners must pickup after their pets.
Is the a horse barn for boarding overnight travelers?
I saw one table of $1.00 items, but I wouldn't say that it was a flea market
There is a senior day this year, 21st or the 23rd
Not really a petting Zoo but up close and personal exhibits of many types mostly farm animals.
I don't think so. Usually objects like that are not allowed because they can become weapons.
