If you want to get away from it all look no further than Zorthian ranch - a true gem with history!! Tucked away in the hillsides of Alta Dena whilst overlooking the vast LA basin for miles, it's easy to be lifted by this inspiring style of communal living with an open heart and mind. The hosts, residents and visitors (at least the ones I met) are some of the sweetest and down to earth people out there. It's hard not to appreciate it's true magic, laying purposely lost and hidden in the eclectic mix of art, found and abandoned objects, animals, living spaces, music and special events - the whole ranch basically 💫

The horses care is appalling. Absolutly made me sick how the horses are so improperly cared for. The lack of care and knowledge of needs is so obvious to a horse person.

Zorthian Ranch is not open to the public (we have requested for Google to change the information to reflect this but it hasn't been successful). It is a beautiful place, but if you would like to visit, please book a tour on the website, or follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates about when there are open days to the public, or when there are events. We have a monthly donation based figure drawing open to the public on the last Sunday of the month, as well as garden volunteer days, and monthly tours (usually on the third Sunday of the month).
