Knowledgeable, quick, and polite. I've said it before, I'll say it again (because it irritates me to no end). A lot of the time women are treated as though we have absolutely 0 knowledge or -even more infuriating- common sense when we deal with any part of the automotive industry. Thankfully, that has not been the case in my interactions with Strange Tire. The exact opposite, honestly. The guy doing my alignment discussed my vehicular issue with me in a way that was far from patronizing or insulting to my intelligence, yet I still felt comfortable to ask questions.

I brought my truck here on someone's recommendation. I've been back no less than 4 times for the same thing because they always tell me that something is bad. I had all of those things replaces. The last time I came in, they told me my ball joints were bad again. Not possible. So my friend's dad, who is a mechanic, took a look at it and said they were probably just trying to run my bill up and create work for themselves. I took it to Byford, just right up the road. It drives perfectly fine. These guys are con artists and hacks. Don't see them unless you want to g see t the run around.

They took care of my skid steer tire that was flattened. They patched my tube and I was on my way back to the job site within 15 minutes. They are a very busy place , yet they made me feel like I was the number "one" customer. 5 stars all the way. Nice young men.

I was angry yesterday, but I slept on it so I could write an honest review of my experience. I brought my van in 3/2 for an alignment expecting to be told it may need work. It's been riding a little rough lately. It's also a 2008, so it's obviously going to need maintenance from time to time, no big deal. I was told in order to align the front properly I would need tie rods and a cam bolt kit. I knew my brake pads were going to need to be changed soon, so I requested those be changed as well. He aligned the back and charged me $43. I was given a quote for $693 for parts and FIVE hours of labor for the next day. 3/3 I brought it back at 8AM thinking I'd be picking up around 1PM. We were called at 10AM saying it was ready. I was surprised when I was still charged for 5 hours of labor when it only took 2. I know some mechanics work this way. In my opinion it's shady. Our normal mechanic does not, and we would have gone to him had he not been out having knee surgery. Shortly after picking up my van I noticed strange sounds coming from under my tires when I'd need to turn them all the way. It almost sounded like I was dragging something under my vehicle. We called the shop and they had us bring it back at 1PM. They determined the tie rods they had put on were too long and were going to fix it. Fixing it took 3 hours. I guess at the end of the day it did wind up being 5 hours. I feel like this situation could have been avoided if he would have taken his time the first time. I'm too non-confrontational to ask if they even test drove it. I feel like the job was rushed in order to try to make extra money off of me. I am thankful that he did fix his mistake. Hopefully this was a learning experience for him. I will say I can tell a difference in my van. The steering is better. The brakes a little more responsive. When the job was done right it was done well.
