Yes
What is the price per child for a birthday package ?
Not in the museum, but there is a dedicated building where there are four model railroad clubs. Multiple scales are represented, O, HO, N and Z. It's free to go in the model railroad building.
Yes, great place for kids
This is a very good place for Adults that are into AZ Train history. There is a Museum plus Historians there to answer questions.
Tickets are $3 each, or $20 for 8 tickets (can be used on carousel as well). I believe kids 3 and under are free
Yes there are drinking fountains next to restrooms and no, there are not splash pads. Water misters are on sand next to covered playground.
For the train yes but for walking the whole park it is free
It's open and awesome
Laid out in one building several hundred model trains are operating at one time , it's divided in 3 sections
December 1 – January 7 (excluding December 4, 24, 25 and 31), 6:30 – 9 p.m.
There is no admission fee for the park. The museum and rides do have a fee.
Steam engine. I'm not sure what the heat source is. But the engine is powered by steam.
Call to Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department .
9am - 1pm thru sept then 10am - 6pm oct
Weekends 9 am to 7 pm weekdays 9 am to 1 pm holidays will differ and it depends when you are going, like around Christmas time I think it stays open longer because of the train rides
The park itself should be not sure about the stores...rides etc...you might want to call them
The park is free, but you need a ticket for the train rides, carousel, and museum. Tickets are $2 each (under 2 are free) or 6 tickets for $10. You can also purchase an all day wristband for $10.
the park is open to the public all the time, there are playgrounds
Train will be running end of the month through Christmas with all the lights. You still can go to the park to enjoy walking or take the kids.
Entrance to the park is free. The rides (train, carousel) have a $2 ticket fee. The model railroad exhibit and the railroad museum are both free. Donations are appreciated for the amazing work that is done in the model railroad display.
People bring dogs (service dogs and just your every day pups) all the time. I've been going to the summer concerts for years and I've never seen any issues with any dog. Your dogs will have fun. Just bring poop bags, water and of course a 6' or less leash. Have fun!
Please note the answers below are incorrect and it is a city wide rule that water balloons are not allowed at any park nor are water themed bounce houses.
There is no admission fee to visit the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Tickets to ride the train and carousel are $2.00 each, with children two and under riding free. Single Ticket: $2.00Book of 6 Tickets: $10.00All Day Wristband: $10.00One Year Pass: $75 for the first person, $25 for each additional person age 3 and over
This isn't a trasditional amusement park with tons of rides. It's a great place to relax while younger kids play.
They are only closed Christmas and Thanksgiving. Open 363 days per year.
Yes, the tickets are two dollars per person per ride or ten dollars for the whole day. It's the same price for all the rides.
Yes
The official park closing time is 5pm on normal days. For the Christmas holiday lights and train ride, the time is from 6:30 onwards. That's special event timings. We went last week and holiday lights and train ride was really awesome.
10:00am
I don't think so. I've been to the park dozens of times. I've only witnessed people celebrating birthday parties.
