Cute remodeled boutique hotel. The ambiance was great and the hotel looked clean and nice. There was only valet parking ($15) from what we saw, but it was very seamless and the folks there were helpful and nice. Checking in was also fairly quick and the employees were friendly. We had the 40 Winks Room, which is the king sized bed room, and that was comfortable. The room was the size you'd expect it to be, not too small not too big, but did have a fridge and a tv. Warning that you can see right through the glass from the bed to the toilet/shower. There's a curtain, but it doesn't do much. I don't know how the other rooms or bathrooms are situated, but this didn't take away from our experience as the room and bathroom were clean and nice. Not much outside noise either, if any. We had dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. We had the pesto pasta primavera and the elk burger and they were delicious. We picked up coffee in the cafe downstairs as well and that was fine. Overall, we loved our stay here. If we ever need a place in Bakersfield in the future we'll definitely try this hotel first. Especially since it was just a small amount more than surrounding hotels that were nowhere as nice as this hotel.

Absolutely great experience! The minute I pull into Valet, check-in,All interfacing with staff, very very Pleasant, professional attitudes, through out the entire property! Awesome job Padre!

The front desk reception staff was very unhelpful, to the point of rude. AC didn't work in the room, bathroom sink didn't drain. Carpet shabby in guest room. Our room over looked a party, very loud. Also near the elevator. We were offered ear plugs rather than a different room. The only redeeming quality was it was close the The Horse in the Alley restaurant.

Stay was nice room was clean and quiet. We ordered room service and the food was extremely over salted! We couldn’t finish any of our food and the kitchen was already closed by the time we realized this. I would expect more from food that is way overpriced Good place to stay, not a good place to eat.

So I was just watching the Portals to hell episode on this hotel and to my surprise no one noticed the shadow figure that passed by in the dining area....... I took a picture of it and it made my skin crawl..... nothing was said about it in the review or anything.

It is a special hotel. I always reserve a corner pocket room. Roomy and comfortable. The price does vary. Enjoy your stay.
